Why I Do This Work

I was twelve when my parents\' marriage fell apart. For months, I listened to heated arguments through bedroom walls, watched the tension poison our dinner table, and felt the weight of a family coming undone. But the real devastation came after the divorce papers were signed.

My mother, who had devoted fifteen years to raising three children, suddenly found herself financially adrift in upper-middle class Dallas. With no alimony in Texas and limited work experience, she was thrust into a world she wasn\'t prepared for. I watched her work three jobs just to keep us afloat, while my older sibling and I took part-time work to help support our family. The woman who had once managed our household with grace was now scrambling to survive—all because she didn\'t have the right financial guidance when it mattered most.

That experience shaped everything about who I am today. I became a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) because I never want another family to endure what mine did. Since 1995, I\'ve built my career in financial services—from managing a $50MM portfolio at H&R Block Financial Advisors to overseeing $1B in client assets as a Senior Portfolio Specialist at Fidelity Investments, where I ranked in the top 1% nationwide—all with one driving purpose: to help people navigate life\'s unexpected turns with financial confidence and create a strong Plan B when Plan A falls apart.

What I Bring to Your Case

As both a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and CDFA®, I don\'t just analyze numbers—I understand the human cost of getting them wrong. I work with clients to secure equitable settlements, protect hard-earned assets, and build realistic paths forward. Every spreadsheet I create, every settlement I analyze, every financial plan I build carries the weight of that twelve-year-old\'s promise: no one should have to watch their parent work three jobs because the divorce wasn\'t handled fairly.

I\'ve served as President of the Birmingham Bloomfield Newcomers Club, growing membership significantly while fostering community connections. Currently, I serve on the board of the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan, advancing collaborative divorce practices that prioritize dignity and fair outcomes for families in transition—because I understand that major life transitions require both financial stability and emotional support.

Your Future Starts Here

You deserve an advocate who understands that behind every asset division is a real person facing an uncertain tomorrow. Let\'s make sure yours is secure.
