Mark J. Yatros
I have been guiding people toward financial freedom for more than 30 years. I began my career at Ameriprise before founding Allegiant Wealth Strategies in 2017 and created Empower Divorce Consulting in 2019 after having gone through my own divorce. The process of divorce is costly, not only financially, but emotionally. I decided at this point to take my over 30 years of personal financial planning experience and incorporate it into divorce financial planning so that I could help those that are going through a divorce, do so in an amicable, decisive and non-confrontational way. I have earned my Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) designation and have completed basic Collaborative Divorce and Mediation training. This coupled with my Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, allow me the ability to objectively analyze a couples financial situation and help them understand their options so that I can help them facilitate a fair and equitable solution to the divorce process with or without an attorney and outside of the courts.
What drives me is the opportunity to serve clients with honesty, care, and personalized guidance.
I hold a BA from Western Michigan University and several designations, including CFP®, ChFC®, RICP®, CDFA®, and APMA®, along with Series 7 and 63 registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®.
Outside of work, I’m active with Habitat for Humanity and love spending time outdoors—especially fishing, boating, and working on home projects.
